General Information
Information services have a very important place in terms of the support of education-training and scientific research conducted at universities.
Information services in our universities are carried out within library and documentation department organizations.
The Library and Documentation Department of our University started its activities in 2009 and has established a reading room within its scope and provided students with access to e-library resources via the internet.
Within the organization of our Department, it is aimed to extend the electronic library in line with the needs of the users and, to provide the library collection developed with proper budgeting / selection-provisioning to the service of the users in coordination with the unit librarians.
A total of 43.000 printed and 3.750.000 e-books are presented in central library of our University. Most of the records are in the online catalog. Parallel to the number of specialists, the process of transferring records to electronic media continues rapidly in our library.
Electronic libraries are another service that has been developed through the centralization of library services and the use of information processing techniques. Work on this subject continues intensively. For databases we offer to our users, our web site is accessible under the heading "electronic library".
